On Saturday 20th May, JTS Snack Foods held their annual golf day at Wedmore Golf Club, bringing together staff, suppliers and friends for a charitable cause. It was a fantastic day had by all, and the sun shone the entire day. There was an array of interesting t-shirt tan lines!  

The event proved to be a tremendous success and we are delighted to have raised a grand total of £850 for Brain Tumour Research.

JTS Golf Day holds a particular significance as it honors the memory of a remarkable businessman and dear friend, Jim Hacking, who’s family owned the Sun Valley Nut Co. for many years.

Jim Sadly passed away in October 2022, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and friendship. In remembrance of him, the prestigious ‘Jim Hacking Cup’ was awarded during the event to Tom Fitzsimmons, the very first person to be presented with this prize. 

The success of the Golf Day would not have been possible without the generous contributions of the event’s sponsors. We extend our gratitude to Tayto, Sun Valley, Burts, PepsiCo and Pipers for their invaluable support. Their donations and participation played a vital role in making this event a resounding triumph!

As we reflect on this fantastic day, we eagerly anticipate next year’s event. With hopes high, we look forward to sunshine, camaraderie, and the opportunity to continue making a meaningful impact on Brain Tumor Research.
